BIO
All-American Girl.
Mischaela was born on March 27, 1989 in a small town ranked 8th in the nation
for post-modern Architecture. Born to a Native American (Cherokee, Abenaki, Cochimi) father
and a mother whose ancestors were recent Swiss, Northern Italian, German/Norwegian, and Dutch immigrants...
Mischaela is truly an All-American girl. The fusion of a proud people who have called
America home since time immemorial...and enterprising European immigrants who
dreamed of a prosperous life in the United States.
Her childhood was spent writing short stories, reading anything she could get her hands on,
and putting on runway shows and ballet performances for her maternal grandmother,
her beloved "Nana", who would watch her own heels, dresses, and pearls being masqueraded
through the living room. Mischaela watched her first Miss Universe pageant at age 7 in the
First Grade of primary school and dreamed of gracing the stage like the
tall, elegant, well spoken women she saw. In second grade, at age 8 in 1997,
Mischaela began taking computer lessons which would form her interest in software & technology.
A child's journal from her primary school days document her desires for her future occupations,
with Mischaela listing: Model, Author, "Computer Person", and "Mommy" at age 9.
Reaching 5'8" at age 14, she dreamed of becoming a fashion model and
looked up to the elegant, refined, and exotically beautiful Dovima. She
also admired screen legends Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren, both beauty
pageant veterans. At age 18 Mischaela entered her first beauty pageant,
a regional lead up to the Miss Teen Indiana pageant within the Miss Universe Organization.
Placing 2nd Runner Up with no training, no experience, and in a white and silver vintage 1950s gown
.....she took this success as motivation to enter an even bigger contest.

The Model Student.
In 2009 Mischaela entered the Elite Modeling Agency "Fresh Faces Open Call"
model competition in Chicago. Out of 300+ models in the modeling competition
she was 1 of 3 to receive a callback to the agency. Her modeling career took off
from there. Mischaela attended model education with some of the strongest programs
in the fashion capitals like London, Paris, and New York. She took instruction
from the Lucie Clayton College model Finishing School (LONDON) and is a graduate of the
BARCINO Model Management Model Academy (PARIS).
She was trained in runway by
Mandy Dyonne Runway Coaching (AMSTERDAM) one of the most well respected names
in the business + trainer for Chanel, Fendi, Prada, Dior runways as well
as the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show & Elite Model Look. Mischaela was personally
approved by supermodel Coco Roach to attend her Model Camp and as such is a Coco Rocha
Model Camp Alumna (NEW YORK CITY). Not satisfied with being simply a model,
she took to becoming a model student as well. Ensuring her education was pursued in parallel
with her modeling career.
She balanced her modeling career while completing her University education, attending
a special program with Indiana University to complete her undergraduate Business degree.
Tennis superstar Venus Williams is also an alumna of this degree program. Mischaela
then completed a graduate level Business Analytics, Managerial Economics, and Managerial Finance
Pre-MBA program with Harvard Business School before being accepted into the globally top 10
ranked Instituto de Empresa MBA program in Madrid, Spain. Mischaela would go on to
graduate with her MBA in 2017, and 6 years later receive an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from
Grace University for her contributions to spiritual and sacred literature.
Polish, Presence, & Diamond Strength...A Beauty Queen is minted.
Pursuing her long standing interest in beauty pageants she participated in the Miss
USA pageant via the MISS ILLINOIS USA beauty pageant, she was selected from
thousands of applicants and made it to the Top 40 on the final stage on coronation night
walking away with the "MISS HEARTLAND USA" title, sash, and crown. In development,
she went on to enter the Miss USA United Nations pageant where she was crowned Miss USA United Nations.
In the lead up to her quest for the Miss Peru crown, she represented the Miss Lima title
in two national level pageants, securing theMiss Elite Beauty Peru and Miss Model Beauty Peru titles
along with a number of superlative titles including "Best in Evening Gown", "Miss Photogenic",
"Miss Supermodel", and "Miss Natural Beauty". With these wins she took her
pageant career to the next level and after 2 rounds of qualifications and
eliminations, she was crowned Miss Peru and named the delegate to Ms. Universe.
She accepted the delegation to Ms. Universe after also making the cut
into Miss Earth USA, but chose to represent Peru at Ms. Universe instead.
As Miss Peru, her official platform was Ocean Conservation and
Water Preservation and her crowning achievement was working to have
the ocean surrounding the Nazca Ridge in Peru's Pacific Ocean region designated
as a protected and regulated area for marine life. In 2021, this effort was successful
and this region was named the Nazca Marine Protected Area and protected by new legislation.
In order to take her polish, presence, and poise to the next level on
her campaign for the top international title she relied on the top trainers
and strategists to prepare her for the international competition held in Hollywood.
Mischaela was prepared in soft skills: oration, public speaking, interview,
and projection & presentation by Miss Universe 2005, Natalie Glebova of Canada.
Additionally, Mischaela was trained and groomed in runway, grooming, styling,
wardrobe, deportment, and stage presence by Miss Earth India 2001
(Miss Earth semi-finalist) supermodel Shamita Singha of
The Refinery Pageant Academy and her team. The Refinery
Pageant Academy team has prepared, groomed, styled, and developed
Miss India legends: Aishwarya Rai ( Miss World 1994), Sushmita Sen
(Miss Universe 1994), Lara Dutta (Miss Universe 2000), Priyanka Chopra
(Miss World 2000), and Manushi Chhillar (Miss World 2017) as well as countless
Indian supermodels and delegates to Miss India and Miss Diva.
Aside from grooming and development with The Refinery and Shamita Singha
and Winning Mindset work with Natalie Glebova, she's also taken
pointers from Aces & Queens cofounder Jonas Gaffud and integrated
his insights into her pageant prep plans. Aces & Queens is the legendary
"beauty queen bootcamp" behind the success of Binibining Pilipinas luminaries
Megan Young, Pia Wurtzbach, Shamsay Supsup, and Janine Tugonon.
Mischaela is a firm believer and ardent fan of the glamour, prestige,
and refinement of beauty queens from India and the Philippines.
At this time, pageant watchers across the Americas and The Philippines
began calling her signature runway walk "the Tiburon Walk" - as her hip
swinging runway cruise resembles the ocean dwelling apex predator, the shark.
She went on to take the Ms. Universe 2021 crown and top title.
Mischaela was crowned Miss Peru for the 15th Anniversary edition
of Ms. Universe and Ms. World International held in Hollywood, Florida.
In the Ms. Universe 2021 pageant, her swimsuit competitions scoring
was 4/10ths of a point away from a perfect 10 across the board from all 40 judges.
This performance landed her the monumental ranking
of making the Top 5 in Fitness across all pageant contestants in
all countries in the year 2021 by Pageant Planet.
Her Ms. Universe interview score was 4 points out of 400
off of a perfect 10 across the board from all 40 judges.
She became the first and only Miss Peru to be a member
of MENSA High IQ Society. It is believed she's also the only
international beauty pageant titleholder to be a member of MENSA as well.
Her official bio is on record in the MENSA Voices Project volume
on distinguished MENSA members within the United States Library of Congress.
Mischaela was the first woman in the world to carry
a National level Indigenous American or Native American
beauty pageant title into an International beauty pageant -
she did so when she was crowned Miss Indigenous America
for the prestigious Miss Global beauty pageant. Miss Global
Top 5, Top 10 distinctions and the Miss Runway
superlative title distinction and Miss Goodwill superlative
title distinction for her service program to create scholarships
for Indigenous American teens pursuing film school.
If she enters the Mrs. Universe pageant in the future, she will be
the only beauty pageant contestant to participate in every level of
Miss Universe - with titles in the Miss Teen, Miss, Ms., and Mrs. competitions.
Development & Diversification.
Mischaela worked hard as a model through developing her mastery in front
of the lens in print and editorial work, and on the runway at fashion shows as well
as beauty pageants.
Mischaela was selected out of hundreds of model applicants to participate in
the 2021 Miss Vizcaya model competition where she landed in the Top 12
and achieved the coveted "Miss September" spot in the Vizcaya Swimwear
luxury swim calendar of the Peruvian-American luxury swimwear line.
Bolstered by this strong performance, she entered
and won the Top Model Peru Season 14 title.
Growing as a top model, she is a veteran of all 4 of the "Big 4" Fashion Weeks;
walking New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan
Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week as well as a handful of
special focus weeks like: Miami Swim Week, Latin Fashion Week,
Bridal Week, and Couture Fashion Week.
Mischaela has been photographed by notable fashion photographers
Nigel Barker (Tatler, Town & Country) and Vogue, Vogue Paris, Harper's Bazaar, Grazia,
and GQ photographers Scott Schuman, Kristen Miccoli, Akin Girav, and Blake Martin.
Mischaela has also shot with Annie Liebovitz's team. Mischaela's major
layouts include VOGUE Italia, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, Glamour France,
Lucky, Vanity Fair, MAXIM, MAXIM AUSTRALIA, MAXIM KOREA, MAXIM RUSSIA,
Harper's Bazaar Asia, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue media properties.
Mischaela's client work was diverse and included bridal, evening gown RTW,
beauty, and the luxury fashion categories. She modeled for Jovani, MacDuggal,
Alamour the Label, and Portia & Scarlett. In 2012, she was one of the
faces of Warby Parker. In the bridal category she worked for Atelier Pronovias,
Vera Wang, Paloma Blanca. She also modeled for big name fashion brands like Nicole Miller,
BCBG, MODA OPERANDI, ASOS, and Aritzia. In the beauty category she worked for
Amazing Cosmetics, as the face of its Light Golden color cosmetics line, and Elizabeth Arden
Her entry into higher fashion was through her work for the legendary heritage brand Aquascutum.
Supermodel Status
The deepening of Mischaela' work in the fashion world and expansion of
Mischaela's career into swimwear after crossing into commercial success catapulted her from fashion model
of moderate success to a known name. In the swimwear category Mischaela has shot solo campaigns for
Luli Fama, Aqua Bendita, and Beach Bunny Swimwear, Vizcaya Swimwear, VS Swim
Sports Illustrated SWIM, and God Save Queens.
Mischaela would go on to appear in many high profile editorials for key designers, and cover 30+
top international fashion magazine covers, solo. Her covers include Vogue, Harper's Bazaar,
GQ, Ocean Drive, L'Officiel, Marie Claire and 30+ more fashion covers across Europe, the Nordics,
the Baltics, Russia, North America, South America, China, Japan, Vietnam, and India.
Her most notable cover to date was her May 2022 Harper's Bazaar cover as
the alternate cover star to Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess of Monaco.
Her editorial work includes Dior, CHANEL, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Hermes, Alaia,
Thierry Mugler, Yves St. Laurent, Jimmy Choo, Carolina Herrera, David Yurman,
and Comme des Garcons. More commercially, she's appeared in campaigns for Calzedonia,
Victoria's Secret, LA PERLA, and Intimissimi in select markets across her modeling
career.
A career breakthrough was her solo campaign work for Graff shot on location
at The Getty in Los Angeles. Mischaela also appeared in a campaign the same year for
Cle de Peau. Expanding her modeling career into commercial work she appeared in
campaigns for Hilton, Starbucks, and IHG (Intercontinental Hotels Group).
A career high point for her was a solo 30 x 50 foot billboard for
fine jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels in New York Times Square.
She was 1 of 30 top models featured in MAXIM's
Women of the World special edition wearing La Perla, Agent Provacateur,
and Victoria's Secret Swim looks shot on location in the Paracas National Reserve in Ica, Peru.
Mischaela was part of MISS MAXIM Russia Class of 2022, as well as the
MISS MAXIM Korea Class of 2022 and made the list of MAXIM
South Korea's Top Swimsuit Models of 2022.
As a model she was simply known as "Mischaela" after securing her status as
an international MAXIM model and later appearing on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue media properties.
Both of which are supermodel making placements.
In 2020, she was nominated for the IGM Model of the Year award. In the same year,
she was a recipient of the "Bombshell Because" award nomination from Victoria's Secret.
Mischaela was nominated for the 2023 L'Oreal "Women of Worth" award. In the same year,
she was a nominee for The Global Beauty Awards "Most Impactful" Award nominee.
Closing 2023, she was featured in the OFF TOWN magazine commemorative coffee
table book featuring top models who have appeared in the magazine over the years.
In 2023, she was named to the Independent Critic List's "Most Beautiful Faces of 2023"
list, which was topped by Victoria's Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes - a fitting sign off
as both Mischaela and Jasmine have stepped back from modeling to focus on entrepreneurship
and newlywed life. Mischaela and Jasmine are both married to South American businessmen
from Peru and Ecuador, respectively.
