On the June 16th episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian called in a renowned medical medium for a body reading regarding her psoriasis. The reality star called in none other than Anthony William, a highly regarded medical medium known for his ability to scan the bodies of patients to detect abnormalities in their energy field and also receive intuitive information about what ails them. You can't expect anything but the best and most sought after from the reality star who made headlines with her 24K Gold facials pre-Met Gala and her estimated net worth of $350 Million - medical mediums included! Love her or hate her, I think it's really cool that Kim Kardashian is introducing her audience to holistic wellness and spirituality. She could do anything with her media following, as we all know the world is waiting to report on her every move, and she is choosing to showcase holistic practitioners and being open about her comfort and preference for her spirituality and holistic wellness.
The reality star and multi-hyphenate Kim has been open about her struggle living with the auto-immune disease that impacts her skin's appearance while she balances life as a public figure. It's important to note that the move of calling in a spiritual practitioner doesn't seem like a move of desperation. The middle Kardashian sister is no stranger to the spiritual world, having been documented as a crystal collector and enthusiast, seeing multiple spiritual healers in Bali, and being known to sage herself when she feels the vibe is getting out of control. She seems like quite the pro when it comes to holistic treatments, and is open and cordial to Anthony William and his method.
Kim Kardashian shared with William that she had heard his name from multiple different people, including her cousin - who had shared Anthony William's Instagram content. Kim mentioned in speaking with Anthony that she knows that once she's heard someone's name a few times, she then knows she has to connect with them. Upon connecting via Instagram DM - according to Kardashian, she was able to arrange connecting with Anthony William for a scanning and reading as he was due to be in Los Angeles where the reality star resides with husband Kanye West. Kim relayed during the cut away interview that she is "obsessed" with mediums and "loves connecting with the spirit world" and even went as far as to say anyone that knows her knows that about her.
William quickly got to work after greeting La Kardashian and began scanning her energy field and body using a sweeping of the hands. As he took in the energy, he was able to pin point which areas of Kim's body seemed to be under the most stress. He commented to her that she may be experiencing the psoriasis as a side effect of overall toxicity and commented that he felt she may have heavy metals built up within her system - for instance in her liver. Kim seems surprised but relies on the wisdom she found in the reading and agrees to undertake a regiment recommended by Anthony William - a regimen involving Kim drinking celery juice to cleanse her body of the toxicity.
Kanye West made an appearance, but didn't seem fully sold on the medical medium and his method of hand scanning and energy reading. Even after Anthony William gave a possibly accurate reading on Kanye's overall health and what health issues or considerations may plague him later in life - West was still somewhat skeptical and even said "I can do that too." and waved his arms around pretending to scan energy with his hands. Kim seemed amused but not disturbed off of her chosen path of holistic wellness. The two seem to cultivate a relationship that allows them to hold opposing views, without treading on each others individuality. Truly commendable behavior from the two individualistic Air signs, as Kanye and Kim are a Gemini and a Libra respectively.
According to the reality star's Instagram @kimkardashian she kept up with the regimen, though she absolutely despised the taste of the celery juice concoction. Who could blame her though? Props to Kim for keeping up with the medical mediums (pun fully intended) and sticking to her encouraged treatment. Apparently the outcome for Kim was so positive regarding the treatment, she even got younger sister Kylie Jenner on board. The youngest of the Kar Jenner sisters was seen posting pics of her own celery juice blend on her Instagram. More on that to come...
Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, is a woman to admire in so many ways. For starters, she went from being a pop star in a girl group to becoming, through her own taste and execution, one of the most respected fashion designers in the modern day. She also balances this with being a mom and the wife of one of the most well recognized and decorated football players in the world. She's nothing short of a force of nature, and one has to wonder - what is her secret? How does she stay on the ball in her business, constantly creative, witty beyond measure, always chic and ravishing looking, AND so very likable....
I don't pretend to know all of her secrets, but I do know that Vic is quite keen on at least one holistic wellness treatment that I myself am a huge fan of....that's right kids, our very own Victoria Beckham is a fan of drinking Full Moon water.
I almost fell out of my chair when I found out as well, and was super pumped to hear that Victoria Beckham was in touch with her inner spirituality and on board with the energetic effects of drinking water that has been bottled under the Full Moon. Too cool! Apparently, VB learned of this powerful and potent beverage while staying at a German health and wellness clinic for some rest and relaxation. She now considers herself a fan of the regimen when she needs a reset and detox moment.
According to the website of the bottling company which harvests and bottles the water, "the biophysical quality of the water changes in line with the moon phase" but also makes mention that any differences in water quality have not been proven by modern medical science. A disclaimer that has to accompany said bottled water because it is being served at a health clinic, where very real medical advice is being administered.
As with all things, use your own discretion regarding if something feels powerful for you or not. Much of the metaphysical and holistic comes down to using tools, rituals, and techniques to align our minds and hearts to a desired outcome. It is all just a set of tools to get out of your own way - because we all have more power than we know!
We live in a world, or rather inhabit social media platforms on which everyone is a self described "guru". It's come to be a word synonymous with "expert" but with a bit more of a marketing flair, and bonus points if its alliterative (see Gaming Guru, Glamour Guru, and Gardening Guru). I want to define the term a bit better and limit it to its truer definition, which is that of a prophet, a channeler of truly divine wisdom. In my own definition, any of us can be a guru - just as any of us can be a buddha...it's just that many of us aren't. Uncovering that inner buddha, that internal and ever present guru was the purpose of my first solo book Inner Glow Up. A guide to help you uncover your inner guidance, the inner gps that can help you answer your own deepest questions.
Life is in many ways a mystery. The outer cosmos is beyond a shadow of a doubt a mystery. If it truly is an expanding universe, then where it at all - where does it expand to? What is beyond the reaches of what we understand the universe to be. What was in the ether before the universe was formed. Who formed it and for what purpose?
On a more personal and humanistic note: Who are we? Are we simply each a body with a name? Then how do some people end up born with it all, and others toil away and never achieve much? Why do some children get chronic and life threatening diseases at a very early age and yet others with very bad willful poor habits live for a very long time? What is it that we are each destined to do in this world? For me, the last question was the most burning one, as an Aries I wanted to know how to determine exactly what I was meant to do. All that I learned about HOW to answer that question for yourself, is in Inner Glow Up.
For what purpose is there so much misery in the world? Why do we feel love for some people, and feel pulled to loathe or have apathy for others? What is the thing, the path that will most satisfy us in this life? What is the true point to each human life, and furthermore what is the point to this individual life as it moves on from the prior life, and what will be the cumulative point as it moves into the next life? There are many questions and questions upon each question in each of our minds. Every religion and spiritual practice has its own take on these questions. In India at least, it is taken to belief that The Guru is the one who can help lead you to answer these questions for yourself.
Who is a Guru? Based on Indian scriptures, Guru is God taking the form of a human body. In other religions this is believed and taken as an "enlightened master", in some disciplines and belief systems its an enlightened human being on their last human life. He or she comes to this earth to help liberate people from broken thinking, to lead them closer to the divine within them. A Guru should not be confused with someone who has a scholarly taken on religious or spiritual texts and mythology - there is a key difference between intellectual consumption of texts and wisdom, and channeling it more free form and helping others to apply it to their modern lives. There will always be learned persons or gifted speakers or writers of books. Yet, none of them is The Guru.
How to know that some one is a Guru? After coming in contact with your Guru, you will feel a change that is life altering; a sense that nothing is like it was before. The energy of the guru, and the things they illuminate for you into your awareness cannot be unknown now. To try to avoid the changes within you that the guru coaxes into being by helping you understand your self better, is like trying to put the smoke back into a cigar or trying to put the toothpaste back into the tube. It cannot be undone. The change within you cannot be described as simply as "I feel good. I feel at ease." lt is more like you feel more authentically YOU. Which is quite a paradox, as you've just spent time in the presence of a person and an energy that isn't you at all; yet in their presence due to their acceptance for your true self and their connection to the divine (which you too can master) you are able to become more connected to your higher self; your true self. A Guru brings about changes that can never be explained by you to others. I've met a few spiritual advisors who have helped me on my journey, and their patience and honesty is what helped me make little tweaks over time. Their ability to stand in their power as their truest self, is what helped me to finish coming out of hiding and own who I really am as well.
Not every spiritual advisor you meet will be your guru. I always explain this to skeptics and those who are naive and curious as well; many people do not have the gifts they purport to and instead will use trickery and nonsense to part you with your money. A true guru is someone who MAY accept payment from you, as this is their devoted life path and livelihood, but they will ALWAYS help empower YOU to become your own best guide and guru. Those with true gifts do not want you to become dependent on their wisdom and guidance, but rather want to equip you to be your best self and uncover your own gifts and discernment. It was from working with a few gifted women, that I determined I wanted to help others in a way similar to how I was helped. I wrote Inner Glow Up in order to help give others the tools I developed to uncover my true self, my true inner guidance, and truest life path.
In the spirit of providing a sneak peek into some of what you'll find in my book Inner Glow Up, and in the Inner Glow Up Masterclass content; I have created a short 21 Day email course for you to follow along. Each day, your inbox will be hashtag blessed with a new volume, a daily digest featuring one thing you can do to raise your vibration. Each of these tips are part of my personal arsenal of self-care, mindfulness, and personal management tools and have been tried and tested by me.
I hope that you will find value in following along with my short course that teaches you ways to master daily mindfulness practices that can help you fight stress, and release negativity. Each day has an accompanying video that explains the how and why of what we are doing. I wanted each course participant to understand exactly how what you're being tasked to do can really contribute to your overall well being and raise your vibration.
This course is of value to you if you've ever wondered how to manage your vibration on a daily basis. I dig into how it is not enough to simply clean your energy every day. People often get it all wrong and assume that you go throughout life with a positive vibration, and then that vibration gets a bit mucky and so the next thing you do is completely hit reset on your vibration. The truth of the matter is that vibration is a spectrum, and its best for you AND YOUR ENERGY if you instead raise your vibration from where you sit rather than simply clean sweeping out your energetic balance.
You're probably wondering what the difference is? In my experience, it isn't practical to continue energy management by doing a full clean sweep. In daily life, it more so often happens that we have to manage and raise our vibration where we are - through a series of steps and techniques. That is where mindfulness comes in. It's very simple to be mindful and focused on your highest vibration and universal bliss and joy when you are deep in meditation and perfectly comfortable at home. It's a much more challenging feat to stay in a high vibration when you're power walking through Whole Foods to pick up lunch midday and your heel snaps off at the base like its made of those thin little breadsticks they serve at all of the family Italian restaurants that are supposed to look heritage and family owned so they have pre-threadbare worn tablecloths trucked in and purposefully crooked wall to ceiling picture frames full of images of Positano in the early 60's, but are actually only 2 year old establishments with names that translate to "Whisper" and "Naptime" in Italian. (A specific example, but I can totally sense we are riding the same wave here.)
I digress, I really wanted to create something that was a Swiss Army knife of sorts...for energetic and vibration management. Why? Because truly great things come to you when you are aligned and in the flow and in your highest vibration. Not just the tangible things, but also come of your greatest breakthroughs and downloads of divinely guided actions and steps to take can come through when you're operating from that place of enlightenment and connection. I hope you'll enjoy all 21 Days of high vibrational goodness, and then after that you'll be in a really good space to begin reading the book. Available on Amazon on January 1st, 2020.
The dictionary defines Astrology as the study of the positions of the celestial bodies and their particular aspects to other celestial bodies, in the bounds of a belief that these aspects and bodies have an influence on the course of earthly life and human goings on. The foundational method of Astrology is the observation of the planets and their movement and alignments in their natural course. For obvious reasons, this practice was prevalent in ancient times as well as in the modern age. Historically, astrology was an important part of civilization and dates back to the very earliest eras of the human species. The most well-known civilizations of the world have used the field extensively to govern and anticipate the occurrences of life. There are records of the ancient Chinese, ancient Egyptian, ancient Indian, and ancient Arab civilizations all practicing Astrology. Before the advent Islam, the Arab people were already very advanced in the field of Astronomy.
According to ancient records, the ancient Babylonians were likely the first to use Astrology. The Babylonians were the first civilization to create words for the days of the week to correspond to the Sun, Moon, and planets. These people were also the first to use the model of the twelve astrological houses of the horoscope. Both Baghdad and Damascus were well regarded as centers for both Astrology and Astronomy in ancient times. Egypt was a heavy contributor to the development of Astrology; so much so that it is believed that a selection of astrological signs from the zodiac originated in Egypt.
The Greek astronomer Ptolemy was the first person to write a book on Astrology. He was the first to codify the Sun Sign concept in Astrology - which is still used today. Ptolemy followed this by trying to predict the celestial bodies' positions in relation to each other and the earth through the calculations of their orbits in motion. During this period, Astrology was a subcomponent of Astronomy. Later in the discipline, Astronomy became an exact science and Astrology remained a subcomponent in the study of Theology.
The Chinese practice of Astrology focuses on the five core elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. The zodiac signs themselves are also different in other forms and practices of Astrology. India, for one, has a rich history with Astrology, and it was practiced in the Vedic times in India. Astrology is one of the six different disciplines of Vedanga. Ancient Hindu scripture gives us a great deal of importance to the various planetary motions in orbit and their effect on humans. Astrology as a discipline is still studied and practiced by many in modern day India, as the studies and their understandings are viewed and considered as vital in Indian culture. Astrology is used in the present day in India to make decisions regarding marriage, starting a new business, and moving into new homes, etc. Practicing Hindus believe that human fortune or misfortune in life is due to karma, and karma itself is considered to be one of the aspects of self that are influenced by the planetary and heavenly bodies orbits.
Within the Hindu culture, Brahmins are largely considered to be the best authorities on astrology. Astrologers in India generally consider the practice and its hallmarks to be a scientific method to predict the future. They still classify the field of study within the bounds and parameters of the Hindu faith. Hindus generally believe strongly in the power and relevance of astrological predictions. More and more Indian people have began to build their houses according to the principles of Vastu Shashtra; an ancient Indian tradition which is also governed by astrological movements. Hindus believe that the overall wealth and abundance and good benefit of those dwelling within the home are dependant on the Vastu principles while building the home. Astrologers claim that they can prove that astrological predictions are an exact scientific art.
The horoscope, contrary to Western belief and exposure, are only ONE aspect of Astrology. Although reading a daily horoscope has become a trend in the West, it isn't the full extent of Astrology. As Western philosophy generally puts everything to subjective scrutiny and relies on concrete and demonstrable scientific fact; that doesn't stop people from being delighted by the routine of the daily horoscope. In many ways, the Western world is waking up to the notion of improving their lives and anticipating what is up ahead due to astrological factors. Up until the present era, Astrology was never truly scrutinized and researched to the extent that it is now. But the cyclical accuracy of the discipline over the ages, should stand up to the modern scientific method.
